Thousand Cranes Studio offers weekly fine art classes, for teens, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30PM, and Saturdays from 1:00-2:30PM. The weekly fee of $15 includes all materials, and teens may come once or twice per week, but paying only $10 for the second class, and $5 for the third class. The Teen Class is a drop-in, independent study format, where students have access to quality art materials and professional instruction to help them reach their artistic goals. Students may choose from drawing, animation, acrylic, oils, watercolor, pastel, clay, and many other traditional world crafts. Although the class is run as an independent study, we do give instructional support and encourage students to try new materials and themes.
Our teens have exhibited their work at Caffeine's in West Springfield, the Agawam Public Library, The Western Massachusetts Home Show, the Basketball Hall of Fame and at the University of Massachusetts Fine Arts Center and Student Union Gallery.
