Children may sign up for both morning and afternoon courses, and bring a lunch.  Extended stay/early drop-off  is available.  
COST: $100 for 1 course, $190 for 2 courses, $270 for 3 courses.  4 or more courses: $80 per course.
TEEN CLASS: Pay as you go cost is $15 for 1st class per week, $10 for additional class per week.

This course has something for everyone--drawing, painting, clay, and much more!  It's a great chance to explore some of the best activities of our studio, with structured lessons for building your art skills, as well as plenty of free choice time, too, so you can work on what you like best!
SCIENCE MAGIC
Ages 5-13      August 8-11  830-1130AM
Take part in some fascinating, hands-on magical experiments, while learning valuable science skills.  Lots of great experiments: owl pellets, rocketry, crystals, and some good, slimy fun.  Come learn about chemistry, physics and life science.  It looks like magic, but it's Science!

Fairy and Folklore Camp
For boys and girls ages 5-12

Enter the magical world of flower fairies, woodland elves and other tiny folk!  We will have lots of miniature art and nature crafts, including fairy or elf houses, clay projects, fairy/elf figures, mini books,
folklore stories
and games.

Drawing/Painting Ages 6-13

Whether you like Anime or animals, this course is for you!  We'll teach you to draw and paint better, using special techniques.  You'll improve your linework, shading and composition, using pencil, pastels, acrylics, watercolors and oils.  We present lessons, but there is plenty of time to choose your own projects, too.  You will take home several projects, matted and ready to hang!
Pottery/Sculpture Ages 6-13
Session I: July 11-14  12-3PM
Session II: August 8-11 12-3PM

Come get your hands dirty, making pots and sculptures in clay, paper mache, polymer clay, and other great 3D art materials.  The possibilities are endless!  One of our most popular courses--sign up early!
Open Studio for Teens
Ages 11-18       July 12-August 11
Tuesdays and/or Thursdays 6-730PM
Pay as you go: $15 for first class per week
$10 for second class per week
Teen Class is a drop-in, independent study format, where students have access to quality art materials and professional instruction to help them reach their artistic goals.  Students may choose from drawing, animation, acrylic, oils, watercolor, pastel, clay, and various computer design programs, including website design and animation.  Although the class is run as an independent study, instructors are there to facilitate in the creative process and use of materials.

Photo & Video Editing  
Ages 6-13        July 25-28      12-3PM
Learn how to combine writing, graphics, video and photos into a website, which is your own creation!  Go beyond the usual cut and paste.  Learn how to use Photoshop, animation, computerized video editing, and other great effects, from start to finish, in our computer lab.

ARTS AROUND THE WORLD
Ages 6-13  August 1-4   830-1130AM
We have combined some of our favorite world arts projects into one great course.  This is not your typical arts and crafts--this is about creating real art, using methods from around the world. Travel with us to Africa, Japan, Russia, and beyond! Projects will include maskmaking, ORIGAMI, clay work, recycled art, plus plenty of drawing and painting projects.  It'll be a week to remember!

Colonial Crafts
Ages 6-13  July 25-28   830-1130AM
Step back in time and try your hand at learning colonial games, and these old world crafts: weaving, candy making, candlemaking, patchwork sewing/quilting, stencilling, and more!  In our learning centers, you have the chance to learn many crafts, plus spend more time doing the activities that you like best.  You'll come away from this course with some real handcraft skills!

We have over 30 years combined teaching experience and share a love for teaching children about art, science, math, world cultures and languages.  Between us, we speak 12 languages, which we incorporate in our teaching.  We have a strong belief that art should be accessible to everyone, which is why it is our studio's mission to bring an appreciation for fine arts, world crafts and world cultures to as many people in our community as possible.
